The numerator of a binomial family is a success probability and its denominator the trials, which are data; the ratio is the probability. A family over a known exposure has a rate for its ratio. Every other family maps both predictors to means through their links.

Usage

hmc_response_draws(eta, links, type = "response", exposure = NULL)

Arguments

eta

A list with eta_num and eta_denom

Links of the fitted family, from family_links()

type

"response" or "link". On the link scale the ratio of a binomial family is the predictor of the probability, that of a family over a known exposure the predictor of the rate, and that of any other family the log ratio of the means.

exposure

The known exposure of each observation, for a family over one: the numerator mean is the rate times the exposure. NULL when it is unknown, which leaves the numerator and denominator NA.
