Flags records with a longitude or latitude of exactly zero, and records within a planar distance of 0.5 degrees of (0, 0).

Usage

clean_zero(x, buffer = 0.5, ...)

Arguments

x

A data frame of occurrence records.

buffer

Buffer distance of the test, in the unit of its Buffer section; the default is the test's default buffer.

...

Further arguments to flag_occurrences(): columns, reference, gazetteers, land_scale.

Value

clean_<test>(): the rows of x the test does not flag, with the columns of x unchanged. See keep_unflagged(), Cleaning functions.

Fields

lon, lat.

Buffer

buffers = list(zero = 0.5), in degrees. zero = 0 flags exact zeros only.

CoordinateCleaner

Equivalent to cc_zero(). CoordinateCleaner 3.0.1 documents the same 0.5 degree buffer but applies a radius of 0.5 metres, so it flags only exact zeros. buffers = list(zero = 0) gives the same flags.

Examples

x <- data.frame(decimalLongitude = c(0, 0.3, 0.4), decimalLatitude = c(42, 0.3, 0.4))
flag_occurrences(x, tests = "zero")$flag_zero
flag_occurrences(x, tests = "zero", buffers = list(zero = 0))$flag_zero
clean_zero(x, buffer = 0)
